Paper trading is without doubt the #1 recommended educational tool. The time and money spent is well worth it! Beginning traders sometimes lose a lot of money because of improper order usage; for example, using a limit order instead of a stop order, or buying a put option to close a long call option instead of correctly selling a call option.
